First Aid

We are always happy to announce that for the majority of Freezer Burn, we have our fantastic (paid and professional) EMT friends onsite. During early entry and exodus however, we do not have these paid privileges and instead call upon volunteer First Aiders trained in CPR to step forward. We take safety seriously (not quite “safety third”) so we still require a few volunteers to help with these days to ensure our working teams are looked after.

What we do

We offer minor medical first aid on site as needed. Anything major or critical (like a broken bone or serious laceration) is delivered or shipped off to the nearby AHS Ponoka County Hospital. Our First Aid team works closely with the team leads that are on-site during early entry and Exodus.

Team Dynamics

Easy going but ready to offer assistance as needed! To be a member of the Freezer Burn First Aid team, you must be able to work a 6 hour shift and have your CPR/First Aid certificate up to date.
