We know we said we would announce the 2026 theme contestants pretty darn quick here, but unfortunately we are gonna have to delay that part of the plan.
The League of Extraordinary Albertans (you know, the non-profit group that heads up the Burning Man initiatives in the area, that oversees all the policies and deals with pesky legal concerns?) has run into a bit of a snafu with one of those legal matters. They have let us know this issue affects what we, the Production Team, are authorized to do for Freezer Burn 2026 just yet. Yeah, super awkward, we know..... but legal problems can really cause a mess if not sorted out properly and pre-emptively. So out of an abundance of caution the LEA has called a stop work for now.
We in Production don't have a lot of information or any details yet, but if you want to get more involved with the LEA and get first dibs on info like this and help make some of those policies, you should join the board!
